Valuing Voices Student Survey

We want to better understand OCDSB students and support their learning, safety and well-being. The school will provide you with the time during class to complete this survey in the coming weeks. Stay tuned for more details.

A student’s identity can affect their experiences at school and whether they feel safe, welcome and valued for who they are. Collecting this information will allow us to better design programs and supports to address issues including bullying, mental health and student achievement.

The survey will have two parts:

  • Demographic data: Including questions about language, Indigenous identity, ethnicity, race, faith/creed, gender, sexual orientation, and ability.

  • School climate data: Including questions about feelings of safety, engagement and well-being

Is the survey confidential?

Yes. The data collected will be completely confidential. Each survey is assigned a unique ID to separate the names of individuals from the data. All reporting will be done at the group level. Individual responses will not be shared with your principal, teacher or school staff.

Is participation in the survey voluntary?

Yes. The Student Survey is voluntary and confidential. Participation is optional. You can answer some, all, or none of the questions. What you share is up to you.

Outside OCDSB

Jobs

The Ottawa Titans will be conducting job fairs the following days:

Game Day Departments: April 5 from 3pm-6pm and April 6 from 10am-12pm

The job fairs will take place at the ballpark (300 Coventry Road). All participants will receive an interview. Please bring your resume.
