Dear Ridgemont Families, Caregivers, and Community,
Welcome to the 2024-25 school year at Ridgemont High School! We hope you’ve had a wonderful summer break.
Ridgemont School Council is looking forward to the new school year, and we’re reaching out to the community to share information about and to invite families to participate in your School Council this year.
What is School Council?
School Council is an important link between families and caregivers and the Ridgemont school community. Generally, members of School Council are parents and caregivers of students, although all are welcome. School Council is separate from Student Council, which is made up of Ridgemont students.
School Council provides advice on school matters and strengthens the relationship between schools, families, and their communities. All families have a place in the Ridgemont community and are welcome to participate in the School Council. Participation is optional, but we encourage families and caregivers to attend meetings and engage in School Council activities in order to contribute to the well-being of the students and school community.

School Council general meeting -
Tuesday Sept. 24th, 2024 6:15 - 7:15pm
On Tuesday, September 24, our first School Council meeting of the year will take place in the Ridgemont Library from 6:15-7:15pm. All parents, caregivers and guardians are invited to attend. At this meeting you will hear what is happening at the school and hear about upcoming events and more. We have student council sharing about what they plan on doing, school Principal and Vice Principals share how things are going and family members can ask questions.

School Council Annual General Meeting (AGM) -
Tues. Sept. 24, 2024 - 7:15 - 8:00 pm
On Tuesday, September 24, the Annual General Meeting for School Council will take place in the Ridgemont Library from 7:15-8 pm. All parents, caregivers and guardians are invited to attend. General membership as well as executive elections for School Council Chair, Secretary and Treasurer will be held during this meeting, and attendees will discuss Council’s goals and plans for the school year.
