Library Reminders
Please note that the library, unfortunately, does not have any chromebooks to loan out to students on spare, doing e-learning, or at lunch. Please bring a device from home if you need to complete school work outside of class. If you do not have a device available to you at home, please see the main office for support.
We do have lots of great books to read, including many graphic novels & manga. Come see what’s available!
If you’re eating lunch in the library, please remember to eat in the tiled floor areas, and not over the carpeted areas. More tiles space coming soon once our renovations are complete. Thank-you!
Library Volunteers Needed
The library is looking for morning (8:25 - 8:55am) volunteers as well as any students with a spare that might like to volunteer during their spare period. Tasks may include resetting furniture configurations, preparing materials for displays, shelving books, verifying that books are shelved in correct order, etc. One requirement for volunteering in the library is to have a good sense of alphabetical and numerical order (for example: 832.347 vs 832.6 ... which comes first? or AUS vs AUB ...).

High School Volunteer Opportunity at Alta Vista Public school
We are looking for up to 20 volunteers to help welcome all the families at AVPS at our Annual Welcome Back BBQ.
When: Thursday Sept. 21st 4:00 - 7:00 pm
What you would do:

Set up tables and chairs
