Employment Resource Fair
On Wednesday, June 22 we will be having an Employment Resource Fair in the foyer during second period, lunch and third period. The agencies that are coming help youth with resume prep, job searches, interview prep and even clothing for work if needed.
June 27th & 28th
On June 27th and June 28 there will be no new evaluations and no new curriculum delivery. The focus will be on consolidation of learning and student success. Evaluations that do take place will do so in support of student success (ie. missed tests/assignments). Attendance will be taken, but as always, parents can excuse their child if they feel this does not apply to them.
Outside OCDSB
Hangout for LGBTQ+ neurodiverse/ASD teens
June 23rd 6:30pm
Via TIPES (Thinking in Pictures Educational Services).
This first group will be an opportunity to hang out, meet other teens and discuss.

Nubian Book Club 2022
For the past fourteen years the Nubian Book Club has presented a special summer program for participants. It is a network of students, parents, educators and community members who are engaged in the academic and social well-being of students and families.
The vision of The Nubian Book Club is to use literacy as a tool for nurturing student success, leadership skills, networking, and community engagement among our youth and families, particularly those of African and Caribbean heritage.
The process for this includes a series of bi-weekly meetings in which selected literature is collectively explored and where special guests such as authors, academics and community leaders reflect on their experiences. This year's focus is: It Matters: Identity and Solidarity

Born This Way Event
Our annual Born This Way Summit brings together passionate, creative young people with big ideas about combatting 2SLGBTQ+ discrimination and bullying through educational and creative means. Our summits focus on creating safe and stimulating spaces for participants to brainstorm meaningful advocacy campaigns, and attend inspiring panels, keynotes, and workshops.
