New club - Sole Sisters
Sole Sisters is welcoming students from all grades to do a 30 minute walk starting at 8:00am in the morning on Day 1s. Join our Google Classroom to stay up to date: https://classroom.google.com/c/NTA2NDIxMzk5Njcz?cjc=4e4iqe4
Our first walk will be on Wednesday, April 27th. Please meet Ms. Konci & Ms. Texeira in front of the school at 7:50am. We start our walk at 8:00am & return to school around 8:30-8:45.
The Sole Sisters group is well known in Canada; they organize races yearly so we may be able to participate in future races https://solesistersrace.com/

Indigenous Summer Learning Program for OCDSB Students
Reach Ahead Credit Opportunity for Indigenous OCDSB Students
This summer, the OCDSB Continuing Education department, in partnership with the OCDSB Indigenous Education team, will be offering a learning opportunity for Indigenous OCDSB students currently in Grade 8-12. Students can earn one academic credit while learning from Indigenous teachers, Elders and Traditional Knowledge Holders. This 5-week learning program will be delivered in-person at Woodroffe High School. Students will have the opportunity to participate in field trips and hands-on activities.

Reach Ahead Credit Opportunity for 2SLGBTQ+ OCDSB Students
This summer the OCDSB Continuing Education department, in partnership with the Equity Program team, will be offering a reach ahead credit opportunity for 2SLGBTQ+ OCDSB students. Eligible students will have the opportunity to supplement and enrich their high school education by acquiring one credit. Students will have the opportunity to participate in field trips and hands-on activities.

We Belong: Celebrating 2slgbtq+ History
This free, bilingual program is available to youth between the ages of 12-19, living in BC, Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, and Quebec who are interested in the past, present and future of 2SLGBTQ+ peoples.

We Belong centres the diverse histories of Two-Spirit, queer and trans Black, Indigenous, and people of colour (2SQTBIPOC) and highlights the intersections of race, gender, and sexuality through shared stories of resistance, reclamation, and celebration. Participants will join us for an online youth forum featuring history workshops, keynote addresses, and activities centring the diverse histories of Two-Spirit, queer, and trans Black, Indigenous, and people of colour (2SQTBIPOC) communities.

Women in Trades Information Session
When: Tuesday April 26th from (6:00- 8:30 pm) Online from home
This free, interactive online event will highlight opportunities in a number of careers along with OYAP/Pre-apprenticeship to better assist students to make informed career choices.
This is an opportunity for families to learn collaboratively about the many careers in the growing sectors.
