Vaccine update

Appointments are now available in Ottawa for individuals 12 and older to book their COVID-19. You can book your appointment using the Ontario website: https://covid-19.ontario.ca/book-vaccine/

OCDSB has received some questions from parents and students. Ottawa Public Health and CHEO have shared some frequently asked questions you may find helpful. A clinic for residents of Ledbury, Herongate and Ridgemont will be held Thursday and Friday starting at 11 a.m. each day at Ridgemont High School. Eligible postal codes.

Valedictorian Nomination Form

This is a nomination form for any graduating student who is interested in becoming the Valedictorian for 2021. The valedictorian is the graduate who has the honour of giving the final speech at the commencement ceremony. Each graduating student will have the opportunity to vote for the Valedictorian of 2021.

Your role if you are elected Valedictorian is to write and deliver a speech on line for your classmates to see at the virtual graduation ceremony in June. Do you have something you want to say to your grad class to inspire them as they leave RHS and head out into the world? Then please fill in this nomination form.

You will need a teacher to support your nomination - typically this is the teacher who will help you write and practice your speech. You will need two grads to support you.

This form must be submitted by June 11.

Voting to take place June 12 - 16 via another google form. The name of the elected valedictorian will be announced on June 17th.

Any questions, email Ms. Henry: nancy.henry@ocdsb.ca

Graduates lose access to school email & Google account

Graduating students will now be allowed to keep access to their OCDSB account ONLY UNTIL July 15. If they used this account with OCAS or OUAC, it is recommended they change their email to a personal one. If a student is in summer school, they will keep access. These are the instructions for students to start migrating anything on their OCDSB account that they do not want to lose, and move it to a personal email. Students will only have access to their OCDSB email until July 15 (no exceptions).

As a student, you can copy and transfer your OCDSB Gmail and Google Drive files to a personal Google account to keep important files when you graduate or leave the OCDSB. Here’s how:
